The Cause of Suffering & Transforming to Joy

In Yoga Vani: Instructions for the Attainment of Siddhayoga (see book here), author Swami Shankar Purushottam Tirtha starts out this unique spiritual book on enlightenment, not with lofty concepts, but with compassion.

The first line of the book is a question, ‘Why is there so much suffering in the world, and how can it be resolved?’

Citing Vedic references, he says the cause of all suffering, ie, fear, loneliness, anxiety, worry, stress, low self-worth, etc. is due to the false belief that we are separate from our souls. Feeling people and nature, and God are separate from us causes us to feel lack – inadequacies.

The way to end suffering is through meditation, ethical behavior, natural foods and lifestyles, and helping make the world a better place using your God-given gifts (the things you love to do – that come second nature to you/dharma).

To learn your dharma, your God vision, and how to grow it in this world, and to learn what are your healthy foods and lifestyle -  so you can live in your peace & paradise sign up for a mentoring session with me!
